Jagged Peaks High up where the clouds seem just within reach and the wind howls with the perpetual sting of ice, there exists an exclusive sanctuary for whoever can tolerate such isolation and such weather. Often those that reach such altitudes are simply crossing the mountains and do not linger long. From here, all of the Wolflord's land can be seen, the flats on the left, the lakes in the centre and farther to the south, and the blackened scar left upon the land by the forest-fire to the right. This cold, desolate place had thin hunting and a great risk of slipping and falling; if ever a place to elude the teeth of vengeful Legends existed, it is this place.

High Altitude Pond Among the mountains are various springs that encourage nearby plant growth and feed the thirst of the alpine locals. This particular pond is fed by such a spring, which starts up higher on a ridge and trickles down to pool in a depression in the rocks.
Washed here by rain, a layer of soil and sediment has collected in and around the pond, which allows for the appearance of a number of short, tough bushes and shrubs around its edge. The pond is not difficult to access for one familiar with traversing the higher slopes of the mountains, but to a stranger the promising burble of the water may always be just out of reach for their inexperienced paws.
