More rugged and chilly than the other territories, the mountain range is home to smaller, scarcer game, like mountain goats and bighorn sheep. There are numerous winding passes and natural caverns scattered throughout the mountains, and indeed some of the ridges that make up the range are less of mountains than they are grassy slopes. When the sun hits some of these hills it can seem quite pleasant here, but life is tougher in the north than it is in the east or south.
Characterized by its smooth, unwavering terrain, the east is a place of meadow, copse and thicket, with a few small swamps in the more southern regions near the lakelands. The flats share the most border territory with the wastelands. Although positioned next to such an ugly landmark, the atmosphere here is a calm, pleasant one, with the smell of grass and the hum of insects the predominant tickle in the senses.
Southern Lakelands (3 sub-boards) Exclusive territory of Wolflord Connahei and his Legendary Warriors.
Without question the best stretch of territory of all that Connahei lords over, the south is made up primarily of four lakes. To the north-west of the territory is Antler Lake, a large lake bordering on the wastelands, to the east Bluebell Lake, a smaller lake nestled between the flatlands and the northern mountains. In the middle of the lakelands is Central Lake, which narrows out as you follow it south and then connects with the smallest of the lakes, Sparrow Lake. Moderate forests have grown up between the bodies of water, home to the Legends and their Alpha Lord, as well as to a good number of prey animals.
This was once the land of the Juyii Pack, the pack led by Connahei before the great fire. Since the destruction, it has been abandoned by most life. It holds no greenery, only soot, ash, and the blackened remains of tree trunks, and so no herbivores pass through here unless leaving the Wolflord's lands for the far west. Because filth and soot is abundant and prey and shelter is not, this terrain is unsuitable for habitation, at least until the land begins to recover.
